How we use less plastic in three easy steps.

How We Use Less Plastic in Three Easy Steps

The thought of how much trash we produce can be a bit shuttering. Even the bags we use to haul out our trash creates more trash! Even though we compost both to our chicken flock and our huge compost pile in the back of our property. And yes we all recycle our glass, paper and cardboard, I wanted us all to do better.

These days it is literally as easy as 1. 2. 3.

#1 Let's talk laundry. We were going through about 1 large family size of liquid detergent a month. We switched to Earth Breeze Laundry Sheets that btw you can order 1 month auto delivery or 12 month all at one time. We opted for the 12 month, less overall carbon footprint. And the take up as much room as one large jug on my shelf.

#2 Next up, the one I have been searching for. Bag Ups Biodegradable kitchen garbage bags!  You can find recycled plastic bags but they are not 100% recycled and still behave like plastics in our landfills.  These are biodegradable!!!!!! They come in there own cardboard dispenser and we have them auto shipped every month. And the best part this biodegradable product is made in the USA by disabled Americans.

#3 My longtime friend and favorite way to wipe. Who Gives A Crap. Literally the name says it all. They donate 50 % of their profits to ensure everyone has access to clean water and toilet. 2.4 billion people don't have access to a toilet (now 2 billion – yay for progress!).That's roughly 40% of the global population. It is Toilet Paper  made from 100% bamboo or 100 % recycled paper on auto delivery! Remember the pandemic and tp?  Yeah we never had that problem.
